I've lived in Cottage Grove since six years old. I graduated from Monona Grove and spent a year and a half studying Interior Design in college — a passion that honestly started long before high school. As a kid, I was constantly rearranging my bedroom, changing how things looked. That instinct for spaces never went away.
I paused and picked up my nail and cosmetology licenses along the way, spending nearly a decade in a salon, where I learned something that would define my entire career: people are everything. Listening, building trust, while still being creative — those habits followed me everywhere.
At 24, I bought my first home on my own. Then I completely gutted it. Demo day changed everything — I fell in love with the process of taking something apart and building it back into something better. Which led me back to homes. When I transitioned into new home sales and got my real estate license in 2018, it all clicked. The design background. The people skills. The obsession with the building process. I finally had a career where I could bring all of it together.
2024, I took the leap of independence and started IronOak — a business rooted in integrity, transparency, and healthy boundaries. Built on my own terms. Every client I've worked with since has shaped how I run this business and pushed me to keep growing.
This year I obtained my GC license — the next step in being able to offer clients a truly complete experience. From finding the lot to designing the plan to managing the build, IronOak can be there for all of it.
